The Canadian Grand Prix is an incredibly fast track with a very dangerous final corner just at the entrance to the pit lane. The wall after the final corner is know as the Wall of Champions – a section of racetrack on the exit of the final chicane so treacherous that it can trip up the very experienced just as much as the impetuous rookie, as its name suggests.
Its victims over the years have included Michael Schumacher, Jacques Villeneuve, Jarno Trulli, Damon Hill, David Coulthard, Jenson Button and Vitantonio Liuzzi.
The Canadian Grand Prix has been part of the Formula One calendar since 1967, though this took place at Mosport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario as a sports car event.
In 1978 the Canadian Grand Prix moved to its current home in Montreal.
The Canadian Grand Prix was not included in the 2009 Formula 1 calendar but is now back on the current calendar
