The Chinese Grand Prix is a round of the Formula One World Championship. It is currently held at the Shanghai International Circuit, Shanghai, designed by Hermann Tilke a German architect, designer of Formula One motor racing circuits and auto racer.
Shanghai International Circuit is the most expensive Formula One track facility.
The track is a real challenge. Turn 1 and 2 are a very demanding 270 degree, right-handed corner combination that requires a lot of speed whilst entering and it tightens up towards the end. It also features one of the trickiest corner combinations on the Formula One calendar, similar to the Turkish Grand Prix Circuit at Istanbul Park’s turn 8, which is also designed by Tilke.
