The Singapore Grand Prix is a motor race, currently in the calendar of the FIA Formula One World Championship. It is currently held in the Marina Bay area of Singapore.
The Marina Bay Street Circuit made history by being the first Formula One night race.
Singapore’s third Night Race was held in September 2010, in conjunction with a comprehensive 10-day entertainment schedule. Officially known as the Grand Prix Season Singapore 2010, which led up to the final race which included parties, race-themed events, music concerts, exhibitions and dining & shopping experiences.
Singapore Grand Prix has provided a further dimension to the calendar with glamour and controversy. Who can forget the Race fix that saw Alonso win the first race in 2008. Piquet followed instructions by crashing his car to produce a safety car for the Renault team to go on to victory.
